Now, I am naturally a “sweet” cocktail kind of gal and tend to steer away from including darker liquors in my drinks, but after Off Hours Bourbon reached out, I couldn’t resist experimenting and creating this delicious libation! Needless to say, my boyfriend is now very pleased that I will be stocking bourbon in our bar from here on out thanks to this cocktail 🙌🏼😉

Introducting “Into the woods”; my newest favorite spooky szn cocktail. A spell-binding smokey yet sweet concoction of pure maple syrup, freshly squeezed orange juice, aromatic bitters, smoked sage, and Off Hours Bourbon….Brew this irresistibly haunting potion in just three easy steps!

You saw it on my instagram reels, you loved it…now you can make it!

What you’ll need:

  • 1/2 cup of Off Hours Bourbon
  • 1/3 cup of organic maple syrup
  • 1/3 cup of freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 4-6 splashes of aromatic bitters (or orange bitters if you want it more citrus forward 🍊)
  • 3 - 4 sprigs of dried sage or rosemary
  • Ice + cocktail shaker
  • Rosemary stem + cinnamon stick for garnishing

Step 1: Using matches, light your sage (or Rosemary) and place the smoking stem on a flat + flame safe surface. Flip your desired glass over the smoking stems and move to the side. (This will give your drink that hint of earthy + smokey notes).

Step 2: Pour your bourbon, maple syrup, fresh squeezed orange juice, and aromatic bitters over ice into your cocktail shaker.

Step 3: Pour & garnish with an orange peel, a sprig of fresh rosemary, and a cinnamon stick…

Delicious AND pretty- your end result will have your guests thinking you whipped up some kind of witchcraft✨🌙
